Active Influence on the Development of Natural Gas Fields with Water Drive Regime with the Aim of Increasing Gas Condensate Extraction

Abstract: A principally new approach for intensification of hydrocarbon recovery and increase of gas condensate extraction from natural gas fields, which is based on the complex active influence on the processes of their development is offered. According to the results of the experimental research work conducted on the models of porous medium there have been established for the first time the behavior regularities of the trapped gas in water-flooded reservoirs with decreasing pressure, regularities of extraction of micro- and macro trapped gas and physical background for active influence on water drive has been created. The results of the work have been used for the development of a new technology to regulate the movement of reservoir water in the field and secondary recovery of trapped gas from the flooded reservoirs. To accomplish the active influence on the processes of development of natural gas fields with water drive new technologies and technical devices for the work intensification with flooded wells have been created. The main research developments have been preliminary tested, handed over to the departmental committee and applied in industry according to the issued regulations.
