Topical Issues in the Development of National and Regional Innovation Systems

Abstract: Features of innovation system formation at the state level are elucidated, role of the regional aspect in innovation processes is defined. Historical experience of innovation system formation in the developed countries is considered. The situation in the sphere of innovation system formation in Ukraine is designated. It is offered to put in a basis of national innovation system model the development of regional innovation systems using of holistic approach to their formation and support. The proposals of applied character on implementation of priority measures to promote development of national and regional innovatiion systems in Ukraine are given. The conditions observance of wich will ensure success in the development of innovation systems is defined.
Key words: innovation system, globalization, regionalization, local competitive advantages, innovation process, strategy of innovation development.
